Types of GhaR in Gurbani

The videos describe the different types of Ghar in Gurbani, each indicating a unique way of understanding the message of Gurbani enshrined therein.

GhaR 1

There is one message in each sentence of Gurbani. Thus, in Sabads of GhaR 1, every sentence has to be understood as one unit. There can be multiple messages of Gurbani in a Pada (stanza) of Sabad. One message in one sentence signify the title GhaR 1.

GhaR 2

Each message of Gurbani constitutes of ‘two’ parts. Both parts can be in the same sentence or in two different sentences. The message of GhaR 2 never extends beyond second sentence. There can be more than one messages in a Pada (stanza), each constituting of two parts. Two parts in each message of Gurbani signify the title of GhaR 2. 

GhaR 3

There are three parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 3, there are three distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 3. There can be maximum three sentences in the message of GhaR 3. The three parts in the message signify the title GhaR 3.

GhaR 4

There are four parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 4, there are four distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 4. There can be maximum four sentences in the message of GhaR 4. The four parts in the message signify the title GhaR 4.

GhaR 9

GhaR 10

There are ten parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 9, there are ten distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 10.  The ten parts in the message signify the title GhaR 10.

GhaR 11

There are eleven parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 11, there are eleven distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 11.  The eleven parts in the message signify the title GhaR 11.

GhaR 12

There are twelve parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 12, there are twelve distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 12.  The twelve parts in the message signify the title GhaR 12.

GhaR 13

There are thirteen parts in each message of Gurbani. In other  words, in the message of GhaR 13, there are thirteen distinct issues of spiritual significance should be emphasized in order to comprehend the original perspective of the message of Gurbani in GhaR 13.  The thirteen parts in the message signify the title GhaR 13.

GhaR 14

There is only single mention of Ghar 14, whereas all other types of GhaR occur on multiple occasions. The messages under the title of Ghar 14 resemble that of Ghar 4!  Accordingly, there are four parts in each message of Gurbani in all the Sabads under this title.

GhaR 15

There is only single mention of Ghar 15, whereas all other types of GhaR occur on multiple occasions. The messages under the title of Ghar 15 resemble that of Ghar 5!  Accordingly, there are five parts in each message of Gurbani, in all the Sabads under this title.

GhaR 16

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

GhaR 17

There is only single mention of Ghar 17, whereas all other types of GhaR occur on multiple occasions. The messages under the title of Ghar 17 resemble that of Ghar 7!  Accordingly, there are seven parts in each message of Gurbani, in the Sabads under this title.
